Normally in cataract surgery rigid lenses are put so far implanting these lenses incision has to be increased to 5-6 mm to insert these lenses, there by some what decreasing the benefit that one can get by doing phacoemisification i.e 2.8 mm incision. To offset these problem foldable lens are invented. These can be folded and placed in a special cartridge and injection. The injection is inserted into the eye through the initial 2.8 mm incision (without extending it into 5-6 mm). Lens is slowly passed into the eye where it unfolds like a flower.
